DC Vegan Drinks at Casa Oaxaca, April 25
DC Vegan Drinks is a monthly social networking event for people interested in sharing veganism and advocating for animal rights. Our mission is to bring together people from all walks of life (lawyers, students, small business owners, etc…) to build a stronger community and promote the sharing of resources. There is no requirement except for an interest in veganism, animal rights, and to have a little after-work fun.
This month the event will be on a Wednesday during VegWeek and also starting an hour earlier at 6pm.

Doron Petersan Continues World Domination Tour with Vegan Brunch
Doron Petersan joins Chef Todd Gray for a vegan brunch at Muse in the Corcoran Gallery of Art. In addition to sharing bakery treats with guests, Doron will be on-site selling and signing her first cookbook, Sticky Fingers’ Sweets: 100 Super-Secret Vegan Recipes.
Chef Gray will offer a special buffet of delicious, seasonal vegan items, including bananas foster vegan pancakes with caramelized baby banana, roasted mushroom and black walnut pate with toasted baguette, and smoked tempeh and roasted garlic cassoulet.
Art and Soul Mixologist, Ronald Flores, will be shaking up brunch with his Artini 2012 cocktail, Zeitgeist, and The Bumper Jacksons will provide live folk and traditional jazz music.

Join Busboys and Poets on 5th and K for a free event with Christy Morgan, the author of Blissful Bites. Watch a cooking demo, taste samples from the book, and chat with the author about health and wellness.
In Blissful Bites, Christy Morgan shows readers how to make healthy, delicious meals—without animal products and without a lot of effort. Blissful Bites has 175 of Christy’s inventive recipes that work with seasonal produce and multiple diets (including raw and gluten-free). She contributes to MeatlessMonday.com, One Green Planet and other websites and has been seen in VegNews Magazine, on Martha Stewart Living Radio and Good Day Fox 4. She teaches regular vegan cooking classes showing both amateurs and seasoned veterans how to make meals that nourish mind, body, and spirit.

So if you don’t remember this is where we started DC Vegan Drinks a little over 3 years ago! So for 2012 we decided to start visiting new and old spots per your request, the Science Club is one of my favorite places and I hope you can make it out this coming Thursday! Here is the menu’s for the night, we will also have a raffle for some tix to the 9:30 (still TBD).
