Go “Beyond Meat” at Tropical Smoothie
Being a vegan on the road has always presented its share of challenges (emergency protein bar in my purse, I’m looking at
you), but finally a nationwide chain is offering a tasty vegan option. With more than 300 locations across 36 states, Tropical Smoothie is the perfect choice for the road-weary vegan.
For no extra charge (ya hear that, Starbucks?!), Tropical Smoothie will provide Beyond Meat as a replacement for chicken on any salad, sandwich, toasted flat bread, or wrap! As the helpful folks at COK told us, you can further veganize any menu item by requesting no cheese and opting for a bread besides the nine-grain wheat, which contains honey.
Unfortunately, there’s not yet a Tropical Smoothie in the District, but there are plenty of locations just a hop, skip or jump away in Virginia and Maryland. And through June 30, you can help COK when you dine at Tropical Smoothie! Here’s how:
- Before indulging in your Beyond Meat meal at Tropical Smoothie, snap a photo of your food
- Share your photo via twitter or instagram – be sure to tag both @TSmoothieCafe and @BeyondMeat
- OR post your photo on Tropical Smoothie’s Facebook wall and tag Beyond Meat
- If they receive 500 or more posts via social media before June 30, Beyond Meat will make a donation to COK!
