Posted by on Jan 29, 2013 in Events, Food, Meat-Free Week, Restaurants | 0 comments

Wondering what DC’s 4th Annual Meat-Free Week has in store for you?  Here’s a preview of the pop-up dinner we created for you in gallery space 410 GooDBuddY

When you arrive at the gallery, you’ll be greeted with a vodka cocktail featuring one of Goûter‘s famous juice tonics.  Enjoy your cocktail as you wander the space and take in the paintings of local artist Dana Ellyn , which riff on what it means to eat animals.

Let the art inspire your conversation at our community table, as you enjoy a four-course vegan meal by Goûter that marries both raw and cooked ingredients.  Your entree will be followed by a sampling of Goûter chocolate barks and their twist on a Tootsie Roll.

Menu:
Drink ~ lemon, cayenne, maple sugar
Bisque ~ burnt broccoli, almond melk, lemon foam
Czar ~ radicchio, baby lettuce, crispy red russian kale
Pasta ~ celery root tagliatelle, roasted mushrooms, truffle pine nut parmesan
Dessert ~ “Tootsie Rolls” of hemp seeds, cacao nibs, spirulina and Raw Chocolate with maca, sprouted buckwheat, sea salt

Guests are welcome to bring their own wine.  Wine glasses and corkscrews will be available for your use.  And Uber has your ride home covered.  Attendees will be emailed a code for $15 off their first Uber ride.
