You are invited to join the closing party of artist Dana Ellyn’s show on Friday, March 1, from 6pm-8pm, at 410 GooDBuddY, located at 410 Florida Ave, NW. In addition to feasting their eyes on Ellyn’s works, guests of the closing party will be treated to Georgetown Cupcake’s newly debuted vegan cupcakes, wines by Vegan Vine Wines, house-made salsas by Sticky Fingers, and sample tonics by Goûter. The first 50 attendees will also receive a complimentary tote bag, designed by OlsenHaus Pure Vegan, with gifts including a voucher for $20 off a first ride with Uber.
Ellyn is donating 15% of sales from the March 1 closing to benefit The Kindness Collective, a DC-based not-for-profit organization that works at the intersection of human and animal welfare. The Kindness Collective is currently working to change the emergency shelter system to house survivors of domestic violence with their pets. Up to 40% of domestic violence victims report that they are unable to escape their abusers because they are afraid of what will happen to their pets when they leave, and pets left behind are often abused or killed.
