For the second year, PCRM is offering their VegRUN program!

 

 

 

The VegRUN Marathon and Half Marathon Training Program is a great way to get
ready for your fall races and help support PCRM’s lifesaving work. VegRUN runners
will have access to Matt Frazier’s No Meat Athlete Marathon or Half Marathon Roadmap
and will receive helpful training tips, favorite plant-based training recipes, and advice
from celebrity coaches such as Scott Jurek, Brendan Brazier, Rich Roll, Rip Esselstyn
and MacKenzie Green.

Participants can also share their training stories, questions and
pictures with our online community in an exclusive facebook group monitored by
running experts, nutritionists and your fellow VegRUN runners. Athletes will have the
opportunity to earn several prizes such as a VegRUN technical t-shirt, a selection of
books and products from our celebrity coaches and other running gear and products.

Vegan Cooking Class: Breakfast & Brunch

Past classes have included some of the following: Eggless Benedict, Omelettes, French Toast, Whole Grain Waffles & Pancakes, Quiche, Crepes, Hash Brown Casserole, Polenta Fries, Overnight Oatmeal, Homemade Granola, Sticky Buns, Muffins, Scones, Smoothies, plus a variety of organic cereals and dairy-free milks.

DC Vegan Drinks at Casa Oaxaca, April 25

DC Vegan Drinks is a monthly social networking event for people interested in sharing veganism and advocating for animal rights. Our mission is to bring together people from all walks of life (lawyers, students, small business owners, etc…) to build a stronger community and promote the sharing of resources. There is no requirement except for an interest in veganism, animal rights, and to have a little after-work fun.

This month the event will be on a Wednesday during VegWeek and also starting an hour earlier at 6pm.
