DC Vegan Drinks at Casa Oaxaca, April 25
DC Vegan Drinks is a monthly social networking event for people interested in sharing veganism and advocating for animal rights. Our mission is to bring together people from all walks of life (lawyers, students, small business owners, etc…) to build a stronger community and promote the sharing of resources. There is no requirement except for an interest in veganism, animal rights, and to have a little after-work fun.
This month the event will be on a Wednesday during VegWeek and also starting an hour earlier at 6pm.
Next Drink: Wednesday April 25 from 6pm to 9pm
Where: Casa Oaxaca, 2106 18th ST NW Washington, D.C. 20009
Metro: Green, U Street

DC Vegan Drinks #27 this Thursday
The next DC Vegan Drinks is this coming Thursday the 18th. It will be at the delicious Bread & Brew from 7pm to 10pm (roughly). Sorry we don’t have a menu yet to share with you but I promise that it will be great, it always is. And there will be the usual Happy Hour Drink specials.
We will be having a special guest at our August event…
No Meat Athlete was founded in 2009 by Matt Frazier. Matt ran his first marathon in 2002, finishing in 4:52. Seven years later, six months after becoming vegetarian, he qualified for Boston with a time of 3:09:59 at the Wineglass Marathon. In June 2010, Matt ran his first 50-mile ultramarathon, in 10 and a half hours.
When he’s not running, cooking, or blogging, Matt’s a full-time graduate student working on his Ph.D. in Applied Math. He also enjoys reading, gambling, music, and brewing beer. Matt lives in Maryland with his wife and son, and his two beautiful dogs, both adopted from the SPCA, are a constant source of inspiration to help spread the joys of eating less meat.
We are all very excited to have Matt speak at this months event. We will also be doing the usual raffles and shutouts.
Hope to see you there!
